ANKARA, Turkey – Pegasus Airlines, Turkey’s leading low-cost carrier with a rapidly expanding network and affordable fares, is celebrating its second year of flights to Dubai after launching the route on 18 October 2012.
Since launching flights to Dubai, Pegasus Airlines has flown over 130,000 guests on the route with one-way fares from London Stansted starting at just £191.
Attracting guests from across a number of countries as well as from various cities within Turkey, 60% of guests flying to Dubai from Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport since the beginning of 2014 has been transit guests. During 2014, most guests flying to Dubai and back in transit travelled from Switzerland (Arlanda), France (Paris) and Denmark (Copenhagen). Pegasus guests from the UK make up for 3% of total transit guests to Dubai; totalling to around 3,000 guests.
A well-known favourite for price-conscious business and leisure travellers, Dubai paints the perfect picture of luxury set against appealing beaches and high-quality establishments. Pegasus flies to Dubai five times weekly flights from London Stansted via Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen. Flights to Dubai via Istanbul depart from London Stansted at 13:10 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, returning at 05:25 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
