MIR Corporation, a Seattle-based tour operator that has been specializing in bringing travelers to Russia on unique cultural itineraries since 1986, along with co-sponsors Russian Life Magazine and the Russian Arts Foundation, is organizing a group of travelers to accompany the US Army Brass Quintet as it plays a series of concerts with the Russian Army Band and the Russian National Orchestra Brass Quintet. The tour will mark the US Army Brass Quintet’s first trip to Russia.
The tour includes the classic sights of Moscow, including Red Square and the Kremlin, and allows MIR travelers VIP access to the musicians’ rehearsals, as well as special reception for the first eight travelers aboard at Spaso House, the residence of the US Ambassador to Russia. Concerts and interaction with the musicians taking part in this musical celebration are also a part of the tour experience.
Those travelers going on to the Golden Ring and St. Petersburg enjoy a special joint US-Russia concert commemorating Victory Day, the 65th anniversary of the end of WWII in Russia, as well as access to the fully-restored amber room in Catherine’s Palace in Pushkin.
